Making Pizza

As part of our Food Technology Inquiry, we planned and designed pizzas in small groups.

Pizza is cool !
by Eden
We made pizza at school.
I like pizza.
Pizza is super, duper yum because it is a wrap with cheese and toppings so then it is very nice. We had little groups of people so we could make different pizzas.
My pizza job was to sprinkle the cheese on and Ruby’s job
was to put the sauce on and Diya too.

Our Maths Survey

As part of our Food Technology Inquiry, we wanted to find out two things -
'What was our favourite ice cream flavour - strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, hokey pokey or mango?'
'Which of these treats would you prefer to make - jelly, ice cream or rice bubble slice?'
To find out the answers we took a survey amongst the children in our class.
We really enjoyed this and will post our results when they are counted.

Our Visit to Kakariki House

We were very lucky to be able to go up to Kakariki House in Hamilton East to look at the art on display in there.
We went with Whaea Georgia and the Room 10 children were our buddies.
We had parents to help as well.

Our New Playground

We are getting a new playground.
By three o'clock the old playground will be gone.
One day we will get a new playground.
It will be cool when it gets built.
I think it will be gorgeous.

Planting Daffodils in our class garden.

We planted some bulbs in our garden.
They were daffodil bulbs.
First we had to dig a hole.
Then we put the bulbs in the garden.
Last but not least we covered them with soil.

Yesterday we planted bulbs in our garden.
Te Ataahua put one of the bulbs in the garden.
Lucinda's idea was to put flowers around the bulbs.

It was fun because we played on the drums.

James put is hands up and down to show us that we have to go loud and soft.
We played on the drums with the drumsticks.
We made a pattern with drumsticks.
