Games and small ball skills

Today we practised small ball skills with Jono.

It was so windy we had to practise in the hall.

We had lots of fun.

We had to practise how to -     

-    throw the ball up and catch it (we tried to clap once before making a catch, we tried to clap twice before making a catch, etc). 
     We practiced thumbs in and thumbs out to catch the ball.

·    pass the ball from hand to hand

·    do a 360 Catch – We threw the ball in the air and tried to spin all the way around and catch it.
We played 'Cat and Mouse' and 'Keep the Bucket Full'.

 

Buddy Reading with Kea Hub

This morning we went up to Room 9 to do buddy reading with the Kea Hub. These are the  Kauri Team children in Room 8 & 9.
First we sang some songs then we read together.
It was great fun.

The Operetta

We are ready for the Operetta.
Here we are with Room 15 in our costumes.

We are doing 5 shows - 2 matinees and 3 evening shows.

We will need to come to school on 3 nights - Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th of September.

It is really exciting !
