Our Taniwha Pictures

Before we went to the Museum for Te Tumu Taniwha and the 'How to make a Monster' display, we talked about Taniwha.

We found a Taniwha in our Gateway.

We read 'Taniwha', by Robin Kahukiwa.
It is about a boy who meets a Taniwha by the river.

We found out that the Taniwha is in the Waikato River.
It looks like a log.
It swims in the river.
It is a good taniwha.
It protects us.

We  drew our own Taniwha pictures using Kid Pix tools.

  1. Your taniwhas are great Room 1. They are very colourful and some look a bit scary with all those big sharp teeth. I'm glad they are friendly! Ms Nagels
