Our Zoo Visit

Before we went to the zoo we shared our ideas about zoos - why we have them and what we might see when we go.

Wondering about the zoo is interesting. I think that we have zoos because the animals are endangered.
Emaan
We have zoos because the animals are in danger. My favourite animal is the giraffe because they have patterns. They have long necks.

Ayla
Going to the zoo was super exciting. We saw capuchins and parrots and . . . TIGERS ! . . .
but they were sleeping.
We had a map - we went to the lake but . . .
there was a noise . . . it was a siamang ! 
We went to the swan pond and saw a black swan.

Madison
Rhinos play in the mud. They play in the mud because it makes their skin wet. Their skin gets dry because the mud gets dry. Rhinos have sharp horns on their nose.

Hussain
I like the tigers because they are fast. They live in India.
they like to eat meat.
Tigers have cubs. Cubs are little baby tigers.

Ari
Going to the zoo was exciting. It was exciting because we went on the bus. It was my first time to go on the bus. 
When we got to the zoo a person talked to us about the zoo.
After he talked to us I went with my group. My dad was the group leader.
We saw the birds first. I liked the monkeys. The monkeys were hanging on the ropes.
They were also hanging on the top of their cage.
It was hot in the zoo.
